Operations Director in Romania


About the Company:

The daughter company in Romania, Armaturenfabrik Franz Schneider SRL, was founded in 2003 and is located in Harman, Brasov. The company has a modern facility and is equipped with the latest generation of CNC machines (CNC machining centers with 3 +1 axis, CNC lathes with 2 +1 axis), pipe bending machines, MIG-MAG semi-automatic welding stations, automatic cutting and degreasing machines.

Industrial valves and assessories for instrumentation are produced at the production site in Romania for the following sectors of industry:

  • Oil & Gas Industry
  • Upstream: Onshore and offshore production
  • Midstream: Transport, storage and natural gas compression
  • Downstream: Refineries and petrochemical industry
  • Power Generation: Conventional power plants, nuclear power plants
  • Chemical industry and other plants such as waste incineration plants, steel mills, cement plants

Your responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the production
  • Responsible for planning and implementing the production processes according to the production plan and with maximum cost efficiency
  • Involved in deciding the necessary maintenance activities
  • Responsible for training, developing and motivating the production team and the adjoined departments with nearly 90 employees
  • Responsible for the quality of the products
  • Performing analysis, related to the production results in order to optimize the production processes

Our requirements:

  • Technical university degree
  • Excellent knowledge in CNC machining, production processes, programming (HAAS and FANUC) and technical drawing
  • Good knowledge in 5S, KANBAN and manufacturing management tools
  • Previous experience in a similar position for at least 5 years
  • Excellent team player as well as excellent skills in communications, leadership, planning and organizing
  • Working precisely and methodicly
  • Highly adaptable person
  • Willing and motivated to learn new things in the area of activity
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of German would be an advantage
  • Advanced PC skills (MS Office)
