Internal Sales and Administration (m/f/d)

for our subsidiary in Houston/Texas



This is initially an inside sales role, managing purchase orders with customers and coordinating commercial queries. Focus is to underline our zero failure tolerance goals and service commitment to the customer and to fulfill and ensure timely order processing.


Your responsibilities:

  • Order entry into our company system sage/b7
  • Order acknowledgement and follow up with customer and the factory
  • Support preparation of quotations
  • Updating CRM System Salesforce
  • Responding to customer inquiries for information regarding order entry and delivery
  • Maintain and execute order entry data functionality for complex customer requirements
  • Work closely with clients to identify and resolve data issues
  • Manage inventory and place replenishment orders in Germany (including Health Cards)
  • Coordinating and scheduling shipments with our German headquarters
  • Tracking and expediting running orders
  • Invoicing and receiving
  • Support management of creditors and debitors and schedule & expedite payments
  • General customer service responsibilities
  • Responding to customer issues and providing solutions via telephone and email
  • Work as part of the team to ensure that customer order requirements and technical aspects are entered accurately
  • Dealing with forwarders
  • Answering customer calls
  • Updating customer specific order processing systems



Your qualification:

  • College degree preferred
  • 2-year administrative work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic knowledge of distribution networks
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently on assignments is a must
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with technical and non-technical staff
  • Position requires the ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Must have the ability to verify, that deliverable items meet the requirements
  • Position requires the ability to work and follow according to standards and procedures
  • Experience in a similar role is beneficial
  • Experience within the industrial valve sector is beneficial, but not a must
  • Sales passion and pronounced customer focus
  • Very good user knowledge in common MS Office programs, prior experience in using CRM systems
