Warehouse Supervisor (m/f/d) - Subsidiary in Houston/Texas

Your responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, participate and supervise daily warehouse operations and activities, such as: Assembly of products, goods receiving and storage, picking of product components, documentation
  • Management and distribution of equipment and supplies as well as maintenance of inventory 
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees, assign workloads to warehouse employees
  • Packing and unpacking, loading and unloading products and deliveries
  • Complete packing slips for shipments as assigned
  • Prepare orders for delivery
  • Communicate with forwarding agents
  • Supervise the processing of requisitions and requests to invoice for reimbursements
  • Complete and maintain requisitions for needed materials to assure adequate stock levels
  • Prepare and maintain records and logs, prepare and file reports as required
  • Supervise inventory printouts and catalogues as required
  • Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary, assure proper and routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment
  • Observe Health and safety regulations
  • Maintain warehouse in a clean , safe and orderly condition
  • Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures; advise of budget-related needs; assist in the bid process for various supplies as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain regular attendance

Physical demands:

  • Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing
  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
  • Requires bending squatting and crawling, climbing, reaching
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, ups to 75 pounds
  • Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases

Your qualification:

  • 2 year Associate Degree, Preferred Bachelor Degree
  • 3-years warehouse or related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a supervisory role
  • Basic knowledge of distribution networks
  • Must possess troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently on assignments
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with technical and non-technical staff
  • Ability to communicate with customers and team members effectively
  • Must have the ability to verify, that deliverable items meet the requirements
  • Must have the ability to follow standards and system implementation methodology
  • Must be able to display a courteous and professional demean or experience working with personal computer and software, like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
