ISO 14001 – Environmental audit passed
The topic of environment is taken very seriously at AS-Schneider. Therefore, we have undergone the voluntary environmental audit according to the strict requirements of ISO 14001 certification. AS-Schneider was tested for three days – and subsequently honoured with the certification.

Valves in extreme cold: 3 criteria are decisive
Whether in Alaska, Norway or Russia: Industrial valves, such as those used in chemical plants or the oil industry, are exposed to extreme cold as low as -55°C in some regions. However, not all industrial valves are suitable for operation in extreme cold.

Ultrasonic Flow Meter Applications
Ultrasonic flow meters are used to measure hydrocarbon gases in applications which require wide range (turn-down ratio), very high or low flow, low restriction, high accuracy or any combination of these from low pressure to super-high pressure.

User report - Close Coupled Installation Concepts
The Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. relies on Close Coupled Installations in its refinery in Mathura, India. The company has equipped more than 400 measuring points with so-called installation hardware - which has been extremely successful: The installation effort could be reduced from 16 hours per valve to just one hour. The planning and layout of the plant was much easier, and the measuring devices have worked accurately and reliably since installation.

Metallic - practical - tight
Our customers are often faced with the challenge of determining exactly the right valve/manifold application for extreme operating conditions. For process plants I can recommend the use of metal seated ball valves if abrasive products, high temperatures and pressures are present. Extreme operating conditions with temperatures up to 450 °C and pressures up to 420 bar require a special sealing technology for ball valves. Standard soft seated ball valves simply aren't ready for this kind of requirements. Their plastic seals would fail.

Does the seal ring fit? Avoid bad surprises.
Direct mount manifolds for pressure and differential pressure transmitters are normally protected against excess warming from hot process media through correspondingly long impulse lines. Nevertheless, many users have requested that the manifolds and their flange connection to the transmitter also easily withstand higher temperatures. Therefore the seal rings have to be made of graphite. Thus they can be readily used up to 550 degrees Celsius – significantly more than required by the standards.

There is no reason to specify DIN 19213 instead of IEC 61518
IEC 61518 is the global standard for Manifold-to-Transmitter Flange Connections. IEC 61518 is based on the German standard DIN 19213. So, basically DIN 19213 is not anymore used with the exception of revision 1980. But there is also a technical reason why DIN 19213 should not be used anymore.
